I don't really have time to be posting here, but I'm totally excited, so I have to share.
Well, a church in Sudbury is closing - it's a long story but the Boston Archdiocese decided 82 parishes had to close for a number of reasons. Local people have probably seen this all over the news.
Anyway, to make a long story short, the Sudbury church was suppose to close Wed. at noon, but parishioners were holding a non-stop vigil to hope to prevent the church from closing. Well, every local media outlet was at the church yesterday at noon, waiting to see if the archdiocese would come to collect the keys, like they said. No one came.
Obviously I was writing something for my weekly paper and the daily paper that we're connected with. Well, we're all owned by the Boston Herald so they can use our stories if they want, but they rarely do. Well, what do I see in today's Boston Herald - my story!! A shorter version of it, but still my story! And it's right next to a column by Mike Barnicle, who is pretty widely read around here.
Then I searched google news for a while my story was the first one (it's not now though).
I'm just so wicked excited. I can't believe my article was picked up by the Herald. :)
