Holy crap!
A friend of mine from high school (I think she was 2 years older than me) is possibly going to the olympics! I was one of the managers for track in high school and this girl, Summer Pierson, was on the team and so we became good friends. I vaguely remember her saying one day she wanted to go the olympics. Her being older, we totally lost touch when she graduated, but I just found out she is at the track and field olympic trials for throwing the discus. There were 2 heats in the preliminaries and she placed 4th in one of the groups. The top 12 move on to the finals, which are held today. I am just so excited for her!
