OK, so I was in the shower yesterday (where I do all of my best thinking) and I was considering the traits of the perfect guy. It started with a few fun romantic things and grew until I had created this impossible fantasy man. I will attribute these traits to the ruffled shirt man. I'd like to share him with you and invite you all to add to him to tailor him to your own personal predilections.
I want a guy who likes to wear clothes that fit him well, who owns a three piece suit and knows where his waist is, where his ass is and upon which his pants should sit. I want a guy who knows which wine to order with dinner. I want a guy who can go from discussing philosophy to skipping down the street with me. I want a guy who likes to go out dancing, and that means tango, swing and waltz. I want a guy who writes letters instead of emails, even if they're only a line or two. I want a guy who quotes Shakespeare. I want a guy who plays an instrument. I want a guy who likes my cooking. I want a guy who can hang out with my brother. I want a guy who brings me flowers when he didn't screw up. I want a guy who is happy to spend an entire night in my bed with me in complete innocence. I want a guy who likes holding my hand in public. I want a guy who likes to dance with me, alone in my living room. I want a guy who is so happy to see me every time he does, that he sweeps me into his arms. I want a guy who loves fine things, but appreciates the tiny things. I want a guy who likes to travel and who loves adventure. I want a guy who reads. I want a guy who laughs, I want a guy who cries. I want a guy who loves me so much that when we are together he is content to just look at me.
