Well, I wasn't expecting this at all, but it makes so much sense!
I'm sure that YouTube was the best site on which the video could have ended up. Imagine this had gone viral on Facebook... But even then it would have simply been turned into a meme, and a week later it would have been dethroned by the next hashtag sensation.
