this has so many feels of how I feel of Albus Dumbledore. Malicious and would allow an abused child to continue to be Abused. Poor Severus and now he is also being abused all over again as a child from a similar abusive Muggle parent he could have gone more than a little to support Harry. Of course Albus cannot allow that. Thanks so much for writing and sharing this one. Bravo!

Time and distance from the original stories has make me look at Dumbledore as both fallible and callous.... so it's easy to see how this could have happened...
