It's lovely that, however briefly, they had each other's friendship. Merlin knows Severus needed such love. I like that you tell such a sweet story while also alluding to canon so smoothly. :D

It is nice to read a story where Severus and Lily are still firm friends while being new students at Hogwarts. Two children from the same small town have a bond of both location and friendship. Nice to see them share Christmas gifts and the gifts being chosen with the other in mind. A delightful story and thanks for writing and sharing it here.

What a sweet and heartwarming fic! The situation reminds me in a lovely way of how in canon Ron and Hermione stayed so as to keep Harry company. Severus and Lily are here convincingly children, excited about what Father Christmas has brought, and I like how Severus says just nice and good about what he's got from Lily, even though it's made him utterly glad.

Even though we know where this friendship is heading, it's still nice to them have good times. I'm glad Lily stayed for him. The necklace sounds lovely. A very comforting story.
