So well done! The small touches of red blood in the b&w are just right - so much more effective than if he'd been covered in gore. The blood on the heel of his shoe speaks volumes. The superbly-detailed background is an effective contrast for Severus himself, his blank body standing out as an emblem of his emptiness or his moral blankness or blindness. I love the way the leering mask is an exact ironic counterpart of SS's anguished face. The fact that he's taken off the mask and that his real face shows (maybe) regret suggests that maybe now, he can start filling the blankness of his self with better choices. The birds, the dead tree, the boiling clouds all work so well. Impressive work, MA.
