All good things come to an end...
...and so does this community.
But not the contest. I'm sorry, but I can't keep three communities organised, and the way snapeartcontest is currently run needs more work than I can handle at the moment. That's why I want to merge snapeartcontest with snapedom.
From January on, the basic, original S.N.A.P.E. Art Contest will be part of my Snape-centric community snapedom.
If you don't have an ij account and want to see snapedom entries on your flist, snapedom is syndicated. This is the link: http://syndicated.livejournal.com/snapedom_syn/
Just add the feed to your flist as you would any regular user and you'll get the entries.
We'll have one of these regular contests every month, if the winner of the past contest doesn't post a new one, I'll do it. There'll be a bit of change, too. No announcements of recent entries, but the contest will be open for all media except for photo manips. The winners will be determined by number of reviews to each entry up to a set date.
From time to time, we'll have seasonal or special contests, but not as regularly as in the past. The only regular event will be the original contest. There won't be 'recent entries' posts or masterlists, snapedom is pretty much a mildly moderated anarchy, and we do fine with that.
This community here will keep open until the end of January. This will give you time to ask questions and get used to the idea. After that, it will be closed for posting, but remain open for looking. florence_craye has promised to make a master list for all the contests of the past.
