Omg, you have unwittingly stumbled upon my favorite Snupin moment of all - "Turn to page three hundred and ninety... four." *dies* That is the beginning of the revelation of Snape's relationship to the Marauders. I love the spin you put on it, that, given that Snape and Lupin are in a relationship at this point, Albus is the one to ruin Lupin's chance of employment for his own manipulative purposes. And Snape spills the beans because he has to, not because he's eager to or feels responsible for the safety of the students. Yes! You fit a whole lot of fic into a drabble. Love it.
