The teetering stack of essays piled on his desk ruffled from the sudden movement, one folding practically in half, smearing the scathing marks into illegible nonsense. The quill in his hand dripped blood red onto the stone floor as his eyes shifted down towards his lap, dark pupils narrowing dangerously at the intruder.
“Minerva... you know I hate it when you do that.”
The gray stripped tabby flicked her tail in amusement as she leapt off his lap and transformed back, “Evening, Severus.”
“Why can’t you just knock like a normal person?”
