“Because she is the Queen,” said his mother in a sharp, angry voice. “Arminius, mind your manners.”
“But Mum - “
“He’s not wrong,” Severus murmured to Septima. “Her Majesty basically says the same thing each year.”
Septima arched an eyebrow. “Of course she does, but saying so isn’t exactly polite.”
“Very true.” Severus slipped his arm about her. “Shall we set an example for the children?”
“Do we ever do anything else, Professor?”
“Touche, Professor.”
