When Harry put his hands around the jar, he was surprised it was warm. He gazed distractedly at it, trying to untangle what Hermione had said. She must mean that Snape and he, that he had a chance, that Snape had meant something by this - whatever it was

Aw!!! That's so incredibly sweet. Well, for a story about a heart in a jar LOL but yes, just lovely. I can absolutely see Severus, hmm, testing Harry this way. I love the way the heart reacted to Harry's touch and thoughts. Really clever. Great job!

I was worried this was taking your prompt too literally, and not what you wanted? So glad it worked for you! I didn't realise we were doing open postings either( or just forgot to log in).

Oh, it's fantastic! I mean I left the prompt figuring someone would write something creepy. LOL But that you made it so sweet and symbolic was even better!
I'm sorry if there was confusion about it being anonymous. We are allowing anon fills but that's mostly so people from IJ and/or DW could participate if they didn't have an account here. I'll make sure your name gets on the wrap-up and master list when we're done.

I thoroughly enjoyed all three parts of this (and would have loved to read more). Harry's devotion to caring for Severus' heart, Ron and Hermione's reactions (which made me laugh out loud), and Severus' tentative anticipation upon his return. Just lovely.

D'awww! torino10154 mentioned this and I was intrigued. So glad I popped by to read this. As she said, it is a little bit creepy but so very sweet! The last line was D'awww-out-loud-worthy. And I loved Ron and Hermione's reactions. I loved the line about Snape's little twitchy suppressed smile. And I love how the heart was pretty much a not-super-stealthy spy trap, and Harry was totally cool with that. Yup, they'll work quite nicely, won't they?! Thanks for a big smile this morning, MA!
