Interesting. No, wait, the other thing: tedious.

Well, this weekend was a rather full one.I don't know how many of you heard of my Drama of the KeyboardTM, but my wireless keyboard died on me on Friday. At first I was baffled, because all I did was change the batteries. Well, after trying to figure things out on our own, mom called the Best Buy service number since it's still under the extended service plan from when we originally bought it. However, the guy on the other line (whose name we never did get alas), treated us like we were idiots that didn't know our asses from a hole in the ground. Then he hung up on us. Well, that just pissed mom off even more. The one thing she absolutely WILL NOT tolerate is being patronized. And naturally all this happened during BSG, so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked to. *stabbity* We called my cousin, who works on computers, and left a message. Luckily I have my laptop for backup purposes...

Saturday we ran some errands and then went downtown. I always like downtown where we live. It's very arty in atmosphere. Neat little shops and bistros and cafes. We went to the little English shop and I bought me some goodies as well as some tea. PG Tips and Barry's Gold Leaf to be precise. We ate at this one little restaurant that had a cafe-like outdoor seating area. We ate at the prior restaurant that used to be in that location that was a small quaint little homestyle place. This new one though... It had a case of Eternally Hip. I guess I just have old fashioned tastes. Next time we eat downtown, we're going to the OTHER local restaurant there. They're supposedly pretty good...

Next, we went to the post office so I could mail off umadoshi's package and then go to the store. My cousin called while we were on our way home and said he'd stop buy after he finished moving more of his furnishings into his new apartment he's sharing with a friend of his. So he fiddled with my keyboard for a bit, but he also brought along a spare to check the settings and stuff. Well, it turns out that my keyboard just up and died on me. Kaput. Wonderful. So right now I'm typing on the temporary one he brought until I can get mine replaced. It's kinda clunky and ugly. Not nice and sleek like mine was. Plus, it clashes with things... Icky poo!

He also went and arranged our WiFi so that people couldn't leach into our connection all willy-nilly like as they have been. More secure connection is a very good thing.

I did manage to rearrange some things in my room so that I have a skosh more space. I can actually access my dresser now basically. I also managed to put away some of my books now that I have something to put them in. The one downside of being a bibliophile with such a small amount of space.

Sunday after church, we stopped by Best Buy to inquire about the keyboard. Unfortunately due to the conditions of the service plan, we have to call the service number like we did before. Hopefully we'll get a different person this time around. While there I decided to look through the games to see what they had. I did manage to pick up CrossWorDS for the DS. It's pretty addicting.

So... that was MY weekend. If you read through all of that, you get a prize.

Today at work was fine.I did have to go back in the back where we file stuff and slog through two weeks worth of dates for two different doctor's charge slips to copy for whatever reason. I wasn't told why exactly... it was kind of tedious.
