bruised soul, estatic
"bruised soul, estatic" is my theme for the week.
am preparing for another trip to michigan to see my father. funny story, not sure if i can acurately convey it in words. we're talking on the phone....i say to him "you know i love you, right?"....his voice breaks and he responds "i wish i could just live long enough to pay it all back"....i laugh a bit and tease him "c'mon dad, you've got two ex-wives, 5 kids, uncle vic, john and karla, you've lived a long life and we all love you" and he laughs a bit too...then my sister gina gets on the phone and says "allison, dad's got THREE ex-wives and SIX kids!!!!" so we had a laugh over that one.
