Name: Alphard Procyon Phineas Black

Physical Characteristics: A typical Black: tall, good looking, black hair and grey eyes.
Brief description of character's personality: Alphard was heavily indoctrinated into the Black pureblood ideologies and was a very snobby pureblood in his first year; through the years he realized that his best friends were actually outside of his House and that halfbloods and Muggleborns could be as good as pureblood wizards.
He was a very sensitive person, with a strong liking for the arts. Here’s his Astrological Chart, made especially for him by his good friend Liz. The chart says all. He never thought that Astrology would be such an exact science.
Sexual Orientation: Alphard was appalled that anyone would ask such questions. This is simply not done.

Additional Information on Subjects: His parents forbade him to take Muggle Studies, but, with Dumbledore’s help, he did independent study on the subject. He was very proud to learn that he’d have gotten a NEWT on it, had he been able to take the test.
Friends/Acquaintances: Best friend Michelle Higgins, former Hufflepuff pureblood who was a prefect in Alphard’s first and second year. She was responsible for the change, as Alphard, who hated her in the beginning for being a “blood traitor”, ended up by being very close to her. They continued to correspond after she left school. She left Wizarding society to live among the artsy crowd as a poetess in Muggle London.
In school he was good friends with Minerva McGonagall and Sanara Sinistra, in addition to a few yet unnamed students.
Enemies: Alphard was quite aloof in his later years at school, as he was much more worried about his personal life and what to do about it. His worst enemy was his own cousin, Araminta Meliflua. Alphard never trusted Tom, but couldn’t pinpoint why he disliked Riddle. Someone once accused him of being a pureblood snob, prejudiced against a halfblood orphan, and, after that, Alphard never told anyone else that he disliked Tom Riddle.
Relationships: Only one, but he’s not saying who. A gentleman should never never kiss and tell. This relationship lasted a lifetime.
Plans for After Hogwarts: Was disowned after his parents insisted that he had to marry a pureblood heiress and he refused to. The family never knew where he was or with whom.
Prefect/Head Girl/Boy: Prefect, Years 5 and 6; Head Boy, Year 7
Quidditch/any other school clubs: (please include positions and years involved) None; invited to join the Slug Club, but found all sorts of excuses not to attend. Finally Slughorn gave up.
