Adventures in Ageism!!!
Yesterday I was in charge of training the new guy. The new guy in this case was about 70 and kept referring to me as "young fella'"
However, what he lacked in pep he definitely made up for in advice as he told me repeatedly throughout the night that I should never to get married (the fact that he's almost 70 and forced to continue working may provide some insight as to his feelings on this matter of matrimony).
Later, I got to help old-new guy with his CBLs (Computer Based Learning aids or some such) and though I never got the chance to explain computer operation to my own grandfather, I'm pretty sure I know how it would have gone ... now.
Anyway, those were the highlights of the Sean Kelly's Mentoring the Aged program.
Then I bought the first season of My Name is Earl on DVD and watched the first 3 discs (love that show).
Karma is ... a) a bitch
b) funny
c) going to run over your Dogma
d) a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do
e) or whatever

In between providing a poor role model for previous generations I also ran into Megan who desperately needs to update her Livejournal for friends and fans (nudge, nudge).
