I started library school this January. It's been fun~ but I had to do more writing than I ever thought possible for a non-English major haha. And I am not a good writer. I'm now applying for a scholarship from my employer, which is still the library I worked at forever ago (8 yearsss). So I'm writing up yet another ~personal statement~ for school monies, this time to submit to the Friends of the Library. For a possible total of 4800 (ooh la la), but also with a promise of servitude to my library for a year after graduation. Whatevs, not like I'm going anywhere. :p
The crux of my annoyance is the career goals part, as always. Dudes, wtf do you think? My career goal is to be a librarian! To sit in a building full of books and computers and help idiots look things up and buy materials for the library and make a decent sum of monies for my trouble!
I was hungry when I wrote this, and my annoyance has simmered down some haha. But uhh yeah, grad school. Whaaat.
