Movies: Constantine, Hitch, The Shawshank Redemption, Bring It On, Center Stage, LOTR ROTK, etc.
Authors: I tend to not like authors so much as just specific books. I'll read one thing by an author, love it, and never go out and read another book by the same author. I know, it's weird. I love books like Slaughter House Five and I've got a stack I've yet to read (Lolita, In Cold Blood, Catch 22, etc)
