fort collins

last night i got to go out and meet some of the "Fort Collins Scooter Gang" crew. Mind you, they are not a club because clubs are for mousketeers.

which just seemed fitting and proper being that I am from Orlando.

We met up at this pizza joint aptly named 'woody's.'

i'll tell you why it was aptly named in a moment.

first of all this place was cool. they had a pizza buffet which on monday nights was only $2.50 a person. last night while we were there it was still a modest $7.99 for all you can eat pizza and salad.

i wasn't overly hungry because my brothers wife had made some homemade turkey and stuffing and i had eaten a bit of that before we went out.

so in addition to the $8 all you can price they sold pizza by the slice for $1.50. and get this, for that $1.50 you could name whatever kind of slice you wanted. i requested pepperoni, onions and jalapenos.

something else thats different here in colorado then florida is the jalepenos. they were friggin' hot.

anyhow....while i'm eating the pizza and chatting it up with matt and nick from the scooter gang (i hate myself for not remembering the name of hte third guy there but he had a goatee as long as mine) i noticed this picture on the wall of an old timey football team.

oddly enough all of these guys were wearing somethign around their neck that wasn't a helmet. the only thing it resembled was a cup. i called the cute hippy chick bartender over to look at the picture with us and all of her time workign there she had never noticed this apparatus around their necks.

she called on of her managers over who had also not noticed it. we all couldn't help but to come to the conclusion that these guys were wearing their cups around their neck. hence, the earlier statmement that the place was aptly named 'woody's'
