So I'm not having a good day - the shower upstairs has leaked and put a big hole in the kitchen ceiling, and I'm also feeling really crappy from the anaestethic after visiting the dentist :( But, thanks to the wonderful world of snacksters, and my great partner from the US (our very own
_zerlina_ ) I'm having a much better day now :) Despite the fact that I was cursing the delivery guy who came at 6.30 his morning(!), I started smiling all over when I saw what he had in his hands...
Ooh, how did she pack it all in so neatly?
Man, did I hit the jackpot here! This is everything from that box - which, relatively speaking, was quite small, so I'm still trying to figure out just how she fit in so much snacky goodness :) She's either a wizard or a fiendish criminal mastermind who is really good at Tetris...
Crackers/Savouries
Kraft 100 Calorie Packs: Wheat Thins, Cheese Nips and Ritz Snack Mix. Only tried the Cheese Nips so far - they're a bit like Jacob's Cheeslets. Very yummy, and apparently contain only a trivial amount of cholesterol :)
Goldfish Crackers: Xplosive Pizza flavour. I absolutely adore Goldfish Crackers - they stay crispy for ever! Always assuming they last long enough for you to experiment with their crisp-staying ability!
The Cereals
Mini boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Corn Pops and Froot Loops. HUGE box of Froot Loops Cereal Straws: Ooh, never had any of these, and I've always wanted to try Froot Loops. The straws were the first thing I opened and they didn't disappoint :)
Sweets (or candies, if you will lol)
These are so cute - I get the feeling they were brought around the time of Valentine's day (it's the hearts that give it away!) I got a heart lolly in Cherry cheesecake flavour (which almost has a St. George's cross thing going on) and ... a Pez dispenser! I've never had a Pez dispenser (yes, I know, I've never lived!), but I've always wanted one, so thank you, thank you (x-interwebs hug-x). Just one question - shouldn't you be able to get the whole pack of Pez in? I couldn't... Is there something I should know?
Emily's Milk Chocolate Fortune Cookies
These definitely deserved a picture of their own - again, it's another thing I've never had, fortune cookies. They are so cool, and all have love fortunes - I opened them second, and my fortune said: "Let love rule thy heart, logic rule thy mind and faith rule thy soul". They taste pretty yummy too :)
The Big One: It's the mother of all chocolate hauls.
There is sooooo much chocolate here, which may not be a good thing as I've just had a filling, but who cares, I'm still going to eat it! Even though I don't think I told Nahimeh how much I love it, just about every one of these has peanut butter in it. So she's psychic as well as being good at Tetris...
Crunch Stixx: They remind me a little of Ferrero Rocher, if the middle chocolatey bit was solid, rather than Nutella-like in consistency. Or possibly Milky Way Magic Straws (I think that's what they're called).
Herbert's Cookies and Chips bar: This looks seriously good. I don't think I need to say anything other than full on, obsessive chocolate overload.
Hershey's Kisses: Filled with Peanut Butter. Utterly Divine.
Reese's Crispy Crunchy Bar, Peanut Butter and Caramel Peanut Butter Cups: The bar is already finished. I'm sure the cups won't be far behind :)
Heart shaped boxes: One Reese's Pieces, two Hershey's Kissables. You know, I'm starting to see a pattern emerge here. Heart shaped lolly, love fortune cookies, heart shaped boxed sweets? I think our Nahimeh is a not so closeted romantic.
Thank you, thank you Nahimeh - everything you sent is so cool, and absolutely perfect. You've sent so much stuff, and I love it all. I'm also mightily impressed that you managed to find so much stuff you could send me,despite my dietary requirements - kudos to you! I hope you enjoy your parcel as much as I'm going to enjoy mine :) Now to put it all back in the box to transport it... yeah, that didn't go well. It's looking more muffin top than skinny jeans...
EDIT: Hopefully that's fixed it - honestly, I'm so thud head against brick wall sometimes...
