Ok, well everything went insane. Health nut Kali's appendix burst last month. Then she had it for five days because we were told that is was just sore because of the vomiting, well that was what the doctor told us. She was very wrong, the doctor at emergency said that if we waited only hours more she would not have made it, he was really surprised that she made it this far. So they rushed her into surgery, a while later they brought her out and moved her from one room to another. we ended up on the heart monitoring floor because her heart rate was 150 -160, and they wanted to monitor her more closely because they could not get everything out. Well 43 bags of potassium, two blood tests per bag later kali's temp and white count shot up and everything got crazy again. It turned out to be a pocket of infection was festering and growing. They had her lay on her stomach, mind you the wound is still open and insanely painful, on the CT Scan board so they can put a drain in through her backside(butt).
The doctor drained a coke can worth of infection out of it. She started to feel better. I stayed with Kali while my mother in-law took care of Ian, my parents were taking care of grandpa who at the same time fell off of a ladder trying to get into his house, and had a stroke when he hit the ground and forgot who and where he was.
So now Kali is back at home with Ian, I am sick and have to stay away from both of them. If she gets sick she has to go right back into the hospital. After 15 days I do not want her to go back. She was so depressed it was a job just keeping her sane in there, we had to leave him so quick. Everything turned out ok. We were so blessed to have Kali, we were so close to loosing her. This year has been filled with tragedy after tragedy we just lucked out. I almost had to raise Ian on my own, without my love, my friend. She is arguing and making fun of me now so she is getting better, while she was out of it for three days it was so hard just to stay positive. But it is all done now, knock on wood. Hope all is well with you guys, and you had a good holiday.
