I can't see how it would depend on anything if I had to ask. You could have easily deduced I wasn't from your world just from that statement.

Or you could be uneducated, insane, or from a time period where Russia is not in existence under that name.

From my methods and mannerisms of speech, I am anything but uneducated. My sanity not-withstanding, I am fully functioning and it could be told with ease that my intentions were merely to educate myself as to what Russia is.

As for time periods, I believe it would be a moot point if the name was changed, as you could simply mention the general location and I would thus understand instead of being dismissive of the question and myself.

Your arguments are based on the idea that my main goals are either to explain things and spread knowledge or else get rid of you quickly, when instead it could be that I get some sort of satisfaction from irritating you and dislike giving information to people that I don't already like, while I obviously have a neutral opinion of you, this being our first conversation. You cannot rationalize the actions of the irrational, which you have not ruled out in my case.

Ah, I see. So you're just entirely disagreeable and rude, not inept at practical information trading.

I'll have to remember that.

See that you do.

If you want information, come to my class.

A teacher? Oh, my I can't wait to see your students. I'm sure they're a bright bunch under your tutelage.

I could learn so much from someone who appears to be a third of my age, I'm sure.

Not really, but it's something to do and since many people here seem to have a hatred of science, I thought I might try to show them that it isn't always evil.

Well, you might learn about Russia, for one.

Science is anything but evil, it is a neutral medium for understanding the fundamental order of the universe around us. The people who use it make it evil or good, depending on aims and aspirations. I can't see why people wouldn't be able to understand that, unless they've had nothing but dealings with mad scientists and evil fools.

Oh? I thought you said you weren't going to tell me.

Yes, I know, I'm a forensic scientist sort of. But some people here have led lives that are like something out of a very B horror movie, mad scientists and all.

Teaching is one of my jobs that allows me to live on the upper level, where the is food, sunlight, and less danger. I can't be a teacher unless people come to my class and receive information. It's a fair exchange.

In my day, someone who taught was always eager to inform others about anything. My, education standards are slipping so quickly.

This may come as a shock to you, but standards are slightly lower here.
