I've found myself becoming more and more moderate lately... mostly because the more extreme and radical left (even the less extreme left) subscribe to many beliefs that I can't find that I share. But the ACLU is always pretty cool, and I don't see anything wrong with the AIDS campaign, etc.

i'm interested to hear what beliefs you are finding issue with. if anything, i don't know which part i subscribe to any more, but i know it is much more left than right. i think the online political quizzes i take while bored at school all say anarchist? oh, internet.

I am still more left than right, but I am just sick of people who see America as the great Satan... despite its flaws, I would rather live here than just about anywhere else in the world. It's great not having to worry about like 25% of your income going to the government.

Sometimes I think war is justified, although I don't think this one is. Quite the opposite. I don't agree with some peace activists who seem to believe nothing is worth fighting for, not even the lives of others, not even a nation's right to exist.

Also, I support Israel, which makes me sort of pariah to most of the Left sometimes.

I love the ACLU though... I think I'm mostly just socially liberal. I could give a damn what people do with their bodies or what they're into.

you're so benevolent and proactive. it's easy to have beliefs, but you're putting them into practice and benefiting the community. you're my role model.

blushing from the compliment, but i doubt surfing the internet counts as being proactive:(

eh, proactive is just a trendy corporate buzz word anyway. what i really meant is that you seek out organizations that do good things instead of being told who you support.

i think all this media analysis shit i'm doing is affecting my brain way too much. oh well.

i completely understand that. analyzing the media, society, anything that slips through unconsciously...messes with you brain. media framing. FUCKED UP. i guess all sociological theories have done that to me. it feels good, though, having your brain shook a bit.
