It always seems to come back to this. Be kind to ourselves. Be kind to others.
The question is - can kindness be firm? The answer, so far, is Yes.
So, kindness to myself has involved being firmer about what I eat, how much I eat, and how much I exercise. I’ve gotten better about tracking my food and making sure I move at least moderately 3 times a week.
Kindness to myself has been to remember to indulge my creative side more often.
Kindness to others has included being gentle whenever possible, but also learning when to walk away from other people’s junk behavior. Maintaining good boundaries is integral to being the best possible person I can be.
