I used to spend some time in the summers with my great aunt. I had to brush my teeth one morning and asked her where her toothpaste was in her bathroom. She told me it was on the sink. All I found was a little jar filled with white powder. I asked her where again and she came in and took the lid off of the glass jar. She wet my toothbrush and dipped it into the baking soda. That was the first time I ever brushed my teeth with baking soda.
It was bizarre and gritty and I hated it. I used it for a whole week and the taste and the results grew on me. Since that summer, I have loved using baking soda as a tooth cleanser.
The other day I ran out of toothpaste. I decided to make some tooth powder.
1/4 cup of pure baking soda
teaspoon of sea salt
teaspoon of ground ginger
teaspoon of ground clove
It’s super fabulous and makes me love brushing my teeth.
