Some more info from Gary at Creation about seating

Jan 16, 2009 11:35

Gary posted this last nite at the CW Board, although I cut out the parts that were him replying to people on the board, etc:

There will be 44 seats across (4 sections of 11) in the theatre

The room is shaped more like a square compared to the other venues we've used. The theatre is just slightly bigger than previous events and everyone who attends gets a seat (either reserved or not depending on the ticket)

Leticia assigned the seating in order, so she might consider a seat more center better than one off to the side in the row before. That could explain why someone is in an earlier row. I can assure you she is fair to everyone and the call-ins were put in the correct place.

So, that sucks cause I'm definitely on the very end of a row, but I guess the bright side is I can easily spy on the goings on back stage, if they have a little curtained off area on the side of the stage!

I guess the room being square shaped means it won't have as many rows back, like the room isn't as deep as it was in Chicago. So that's good for the general admission folks cause they won't be as far back, although it sucks for those of us in the side seats because we'll be even further than normal from the stage.

ETA: Also, I think I have the Master Seating List updated through today, so if you posted your seat on there and don't see it posted, let me know. If you posted your seat number as a comment to someone else's comment, I probably didn't see it. I just went through the replies to the original post and not the comments.

And if you didn't post your seat number and want to, go to the post I linked to and reply.

ETA Again: This is the layout of the room I'm guessing they'll be using:
