I've done the oblique mention once or twice and pretty much decided to never tackle it more head on because how could I possibly? This wrote itself in my head after I saw the prompt though and refused to go away even as I turned the prompt into pissy!Danny, so I figured I might as well actually write it so it could stop being in my head. Sorry for freaking you out.
The boys are in shock but they're together and that's something.
I know there's at least one other fic that addresses it directly; I think it's on ff.net - - no idea if it's a lj person; it's been a while since I read it.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of one other fic that does too. And it's lovely, although it puts the QVN/SN offices in one of the towers and, while they were with CSC at least, SN was in one of the buildings of Rockefeller Center.
So have I and my conclusion is always that they both survived. I'm sure at least part of that is because I like writing the boys when they're old and cranky, so I wanna make sure they get to the point of being old and cranky, but I think I can defend my conclusion reasonably well.
Unless QVN moved the offices after the takeover, SN was housed in Rockefeller Center, not the Twin Towers, so the offices and any SN staff that were at work that early would've been ok. And with everyone working until midnight (and possibly going out for drinks after) the night before, I doubt many of them would've been at work or even awake anyway. I think unless any of the SN folks were on one of the flights, they all survived. That's my story, anyway.

I'm glad the boys had one another, at least.

Thanks for letting them still be there, and have each other.
