Eeeeh! I was in the middle of doing stuff, but I kind of had to... drop everything and read this. Because Dan/Natalie doesn't happen often enough and this was perfect. The dialogue was all true to the characters (which I am picky about with Sports Night), and the whole thing just felt... right.
She doesn't let go when they break apart, slowly rubbing her thumb across his throat while he blinks at her slow and dazed. This sentence made me jump and my stomach do flippy things. Possibly it's because I have a thing for Danny's neck, but that's beside the point.
That was lovely - just the right blend of wistful and optimistic, with some lovely character voices. I quite like the Dan/Natalie pairing in theory, but I'm too fond of my boyslash to write it very much - I love to read other people's takes on it, though. This is a marvellous start to the challenge!
Oh, I love this! You have the banter between them all down. I love Natalie randomly buying scarves before she realizes what they are for. And from reading this, I am totally convinced that you know the football stuff cold :P
Finally, Dan is right. It's hard to tell with cats.
When I'm not mad at Natalie for being a bad friend during the Draft Day story arc, I kind of like her with Danny. His sweetness really shows through in this.

I miss Natalie. I miss them all, but I might miss Natalie most.
