Summary: Dean is having trouble coping with a growingly detached brother, finding the First Blade, and tracking down Abaddon. Castiel tries to help and things get complicated.
Dean drops the scissors as soon as he finishes tightening the thread. Half an hour on a job that could have been done in fifteen minutes or less, a clear indication that the exhaustion from the hunt is quickly burrowing itself into his muscles. He’s still not exactly sure how the vamp got the jump on him, and if Sam’s scrutiny is anything to go by, it shouldn’t have been able to get as close to him as it did. He would blame it on getting rusty, but between stopping the apocalypse and surviving purgatory, he figures he’s been getting in enough practice.
