Hmm... I never thought about the 'what.' But I've written them breaking up before (or maybe I haven't and I've only thought about it and never posted any of those... I know I've written pre-breakup). I guess, while I like the idea of them being happy and angst-free once they finally get together, I think it overly optimistic to think that just because they are close friends and everything, that they will automatically make it.

I like to think that any bad karma I pick up by writing them breaking up is balanced out by me writing them old and grey and still together. :-)
