An Ending
Casey/Danny sort of
The morning Danny’s supposed to come back from his two-week vacation; the office is littered with gifts and Danny is suspiciously absent. Books and snow-globes are wrapped in brown paper while flowers brighten the bullpen.
Casey sits at his desk, glaring at the phone, willing Danny to call. The day before Danny left for vacation there was a ‘lovers and/or friends?’ situation between the two of them and Casey wants to apologize for the misunderstanding. Two weeks without Danny, Casey longs for him.
After the six o’clock rundown, Casey receives flowers. The card reads:
“I love you, I’m sorry. Goodbye.”
