So,
Hyrina has been on a awesome story writing kick as of late and she inadvertently inspired me to do a little drabble of my own
I posted this as a reply to one of her stories but here it is incase you can't see it on her page

Prompt: Hyrina's Cut Title
The year was 2101, a full scale war had swept across the Toaplan System. Humanity was in danger of being exterminated by the overwhelming forces of Cats. BLAM! A large explosion rocked the hull of Earth's lead Star Cruiser, The Uemura.
"Status report!" yelled the ship's Captain over the shriek of the proximity alarms.
"Major damage to the outer shell of decks four through seven!" responded the ship's Mechanic.
"Who could have attacked us!?! There's no one in range." spoke the Captain, who was staring at the sensor screens.
"Incoming Signal!" The ship's operator said, as if to answer the Captain's questions.
"Put it on screen" was the Captain's order.
The large monitor in the ship's bridge flickered to life as it showed the image the Captain feared seeing the most. The hologram of a being, who must have been a Human at one point but now more resembled a Bioandroid, stood before them. It was Cats himself! "Its you!!"
"How are you gentlemen? We have captured all of your starbases. You are now on the path of your own to destruction." Cats spoke, as calm and emotionless as ever.
"That can't be!" The Captain replied, slamming his fist on the console next to his chair.
"You can't possibly survive, enjoy your remaining minutes alive."
Cats' hologram started to fade, and he laughed. The first display of emotion anyone had ever seen from the Alien. It sent shivers through the Captain's spine. He couldn't imagine something as horrid sounding as that, and yet, here it was, echoing about the bridge, drowning out all the alarms and panicked yells of the other crewmen. The Captain sat back in his chair, hands under his chin in thought as he closed his eyes and planned his final orders.
"Ready the ZIG! We aren't going down without a fight!"
The flight deck was scrambled and the lone ZIG Fighter stood readied, its pilot already in the cockpit as the deck was cleared for his takeoff. The Captain knew that this young Pilot could do it, he HAD to. He was literally humanity's last hope.
"For great justice...." The Captain said as The Uemura's damaged engines had reached critical mass and exploded, the shock waves sending the lone ZIG into deep space.
