Work, Jury Duty, and Lazy Rainy Days
It's been a while since I posted, and it's a lazy rainy day, so here I am.
Um.. since I last truly updated, I've snagged myself a job. I work at an optometrist in Thirroul doing mainly reception/admin, but also making and fixing glasses. Fiddly, but cool. Also will be doing a little sales (of glasses frames) when the opportunity arises.
That's been going well. The girl I am replacing stayed for a couple of weeks to show me the ropes, and she is awesome. If I were a guy, and she weren't... engaged... lol. But man she's gorgeous. And cool. etc etc. No more girly crush rambling.
Uh... Yeah, so I've been working about 2-3 weeks, but this week just gone I was summonsed for jury duty! So I spent monday-friday of this week in Wollongong District Court deciding the fate of a guy's life over an incident we had very little info on. Interesting/exciting at first.. then more stressful as the case went on. Frustrating trying to get others to be open-minded... but in the end we returned a Not Guilty verdict. And the guy didn't stand up and go, like... "In your face, Jury! I did it! So there! Nyer nyer nyer!" or anything, so I shouldn't lose too much sleep stressing over it.
Night before last I had a mini cleaning spree, and started clearing shit up in my room. Now there's at least a clear path of carpet between my door and my bed, and my bed and the tv, so I'm set for now :) heh. I'm gonna actually see if I feel motivated enough to continue with the cleaning, but I always seem to hit a deadend when I realise I don't really have enough cupboard space for all my crap. And I want to get rid of my crap single bed, and move my queen back in (crown, septre, robe and all), but she's big... and my room's not exactly... 'roomy'.
