Bodily fluids!
*points to current pic* I did that today! Hee :) So I'm currently down a pint of blood, but if I drink lots of water, by this time tomorrow I should be all replenished.
My blood pressure was great, my iron/haemoglobin was on the low side, and I have shitty veins. It took 3 nurses and a lot of jabbing around for them to actually get the needle in the right place. Right arm, left arm, right arm. Apparently my veins are small, wiggly and deep. But once they got the needle in, the blood started flowing, and I sat watching Hi5 for the duration.
My blood was pumping out pretty quickly too, and I got my 470ml in no time at all. I sat around for a bit, then off I went.
Woo!
I very much recommend that any of you healthy enough go find your local blood service and donate. It only hurts for a second when they put the thingo in, then it's really cool just sittin' there watching it go. The blood supply (in this area) is very low at the moment, so... doit. It took less than an hour for the questionaire, waiting, iron level test and actual donating process.
But yeah. That's enough harassing from me. *pokes at small circular band-aids*.
