Surprising e-mail today from Amy Eckhardt, the Fulbright Advisor. Didn't expect to hear about my application until this Saturday. Here's the e-mail:

Dear Rick:

I wanted to share some good news with you--your Fulbright application
for Germany has been forwarded. Hopefully, we will hear final news in
April. You will be notified firts, so please share any news with me as
soon as you hear anything.

I'm super stoked! Now, I understand quite well that this doesn't mean I've gotten the grant just yet, but it's the second to last step. I have a really good shot at this! I'm so counting on this to work.
