I'm in severe pain from my first bouldering league, I have a few grazes, mainly on my wrists and knees. I found it really hard but I hope I can improve on it next time. A few things I think I need to do to be a better climber
- loose some weight, I keep banging on about it but it makes a huge difference and there's more pressure on the elbow and fingers.
- practice sitting starts.... nearly everyone of them was a sitting start and towards the end I figured out a few ways to do them with less energy.
- "drive on" as Norm would say, I stop too often and loose my strength.
- improved stamina, going to the gym more often is the only way to improve this.
- strapping/physio to fix my left ankle, it just buckles occasionally.
- strengthen my right side, I just can't support myself with my right arm that well. (I'm a lefty)
- improve my flexibility, I need to find out about the yoga classes that are supposed to be every Monday at work, they compliment climbing pretty well apparently.
I'm pretty sure I've got the worst score but I'm not too bothered, it's a start!
I need to find somewhere to fix my clothes and shorten my jeans.
Still need to sort out my CDs and figure out which ones I want to sell.
Oh and find a flat...
