New Years' Resolutions

Jan 02, 2007 16:12

I'm going to try to get to the bottom of my lack of new years resolution, lets see my previous efforts....

  • January 2006 - none besides finding good foreign music, which I shall be continuing :D
  • January 2005 - got jittery and went to Barcelona on a whim, although my Resolutions were put on 43things
  • January 2004 - I actually made some and did more ( Read more... )

Wow, you're actually all... ambitious, and stuff. I feel tired just reading your resolutions. Heh.

Good luck with them though - hope you manage them all.

why not eh? no point going for easy stuff. I don't think I'll get them all done by the end of the year but that's not the point as long as I try.

And good on you for trying. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to make any resultions this year, or if I'd just setting myself up for disappointment.

just take a step back and think about what's missing, or just something that you want to do and make plans to do it. mine are all do-able, except maybe the cynical bastard bit :P

Eh, I'm not sure if it's so much about knowing what's missing for me, than actually being able to come up with some stuff that I want to do that's do-able. At least do-able for me.

And the very fact that I'm overthinking it like this means it's probably best if I don't. Heh.

then hopefully you'd stumble across something.

Why wouldn't it be do-able for you?

I'm really good at paralysing myself with fear when there is something I want.

I mean I've wanted my own place for... ever. Or years at least. I've been using the 'I can't afford it' excuse for long enough, but there are people who earn less than I do who manage.

I'm good with excuses.

one step at a time though, when you get one it'll feel that much better because it's harder.
