Hello from Tokyo, Japan!!

Sep 22, 2012 09:49

Yes, you read it read right. well..not that anyone is reading my un-updated LJ anymore.  I`ve been so lazy since I became an Arashi fan. I`ve been too occupied downloading stuff I have missed for the last 13 years. Anyways, yes I am in Tokyo at this moment! I`m enjoying everything Japan has to offer! I only wish I have studied my Japanese a bit harder before I came. I feel incredible frustrated at my inability to communicate and understand when I go shopping and order my food in restaurants. oh well...

anyways, I thought I should update my LJ to at least keep the event I have experience last night at Kokuritsu as a memory for myself. Last night, I went to Arashi concert! My very first and hopefully not my last Arashi concert. It was also my very first concert I went that it outside of Canada. An oversea concert! Coming and going to one of the most popular J-pop group in Japan pretty much broke my bank account. LOL But it was worth it, I must say! Totally worth it!!

The concert started at 5:30 (1730). I went with my friend who lives in Tokyo.  We left her apartment at 3 and got to our seats at 4:30. I took a chance to take a pic of the stage. I was amazed at how the stage was so spetacular and huge! My seats was in the upper level in Kokuritsu. Even though it was way up high, I think it`s one of the best place to sit in Kokuritsu. Mainly because you get to see both the stage and the Tokyo skyline at the same time. The scenery is just beautiful.  Something you must do if you ever have a chance to go to a concert in Kokuritsu.

I went straight to the washroom after we found our seats. And then I patiently waited for the the concert to start. Right before the concert started, fans started to stand up. I went along and stood up too. All prepared with my self-made uchiwa and penlight I bought on Monday.  The anticipation for Arashi to come out was a killer! I have read some concert reports and watched some video clips footage of the concert on TV so I kinda knew what`s going to happen. But it was still a surprise to see them coming out from the balloons that was set on stage. Each member was standing in one of those crane that goes up high. Sakurai was on my side.  We waved whenever he waved at us! My friend noticed on the other side of the stadium Aiba crane did not work.  Poor Aiba! *pats pats*

~let me take this moment to describe how I was feeling at this moment. To see them live! It`s just so surreal! Sure it might have cost me a `price` but it was so worth it!  The stage lit with such prettiness!! With them singing and the beautiful skyline scenery! It is just so perfect! I got teary eyed just being there and seeing them! Even though my seat may be all the way up in the upper level and I did not get to see Arashi up close, it did not matter. Where I was seating I was able to see the full view of the my surroundings! Oh and also I must add the girl sitting in front of me was super short!! I`m like AWESOME!! Great view of everything in front of me!

Throughout the concert, I tried my best to join with other fans on doing the dancing moves and singing along with Arashi.  All the while, I tried to take it all in! I wished I can capture it all into a video camera from where I`m sitting. I would occasionally scan the audience and then look at the skyline. Of course I would tried hard not to miss anything of what Arashi was doing. I wanted to remembered everything about the concert and that include my other surroundings such as how the studium looked with different light colours, what the video screen on the stage was showing, and not to forget to notice the beautiful skyline all at the same time! I have been talking about the scenery more than the concert! LOL! I can`t help myself. I was just so beautiful!

The concert itself was VERY ENTERTAINING!! Even if your not a fan of Arashi or even a casual fan, it`s one of those concert that you don`t need to be a fan of the band or the music to enjoy the concert! There was a lot of funny and silly moments! Some great fireworks and water fountain being shown! The sound system was a bit wonky though. It was my first time at Kokuritsu so I am not sure if it was always wonky or not. I think maybe also some of the member`s microphone were not working. But either than that it was PERFECT!!

Oh one thing I was worried about was the weather. I was worried it might be pouring rain during the concert since it was an outdoor concert. Luckily though, it did not rain until almost at the end of the concert when MatsuJun was saying his Thank you speech. Poor MatsuJun! *pats pats*  It only rained for about less than 10 minutes. Thank goodness! I rather have 10 minutes of rain than pouring rain throughout the whole concert!

They did 2 encores at the end! During their first encore, I silently thank them for giving me such happiness in my life. When things was not working out in my life, I am glad they came into my life at that time.  I thanked them for making me laugh after a bad day at work or just a bad day in general. I hope and wish that the future for them becomes brighter and will be able to do a real world tour someday!  When they about to leave for real in the second encore, all the fans waved and said their good byes to Arashi!

Overall it is the best concert I ever been in my life! Totally worth everything! I hope I will never forget what I have experienced. I wish I can take pictures or record everything in my memory. Or the next best thing is a DVD of this concert!! Please Johnny`s entertainment realease a DVD!!
