Fuck you.
No, seriously. Showing respect other peoples' religious beliefs does not mean that you have to agree with them. It does not mean that you ought not pick holes into their theological underpinnings, or that you shouldn't try to uncover scandals. It means having respect for people on an innate level. You may see them as being brainwashed, blah blah blah, but if sociology has taught me anything, who isn't brainwashed by something? Its all about prescribing to a specific brand of wash. You might not like that specific brand, as its new and scary, and not as well established as other brands, but take your disrespect, and shove it.
I would have prefaced this with i'm not a scientologist, but... Fuck you. I don't need to justify my religious beliefs to you under any circumstance. Ever.
Obviously not meant to be directed towards a majority of the people who read this, but this is as good a place to rant as any.
With that said, I am about 10 pages into my last paper. Which is very, very sexy.
