Well...that was a strange dream

Today (yesterday by now?) got off to a bit of a strange start, since I had a bizarre dream right before I woke up and had trouble getting myself functional since my brain was stuck on WTF???

In the dream, I left work to go back to my place for some reason, except, of course the place I lived in my dream was nothing like where I actually live.  Now that I think about it, it was a lot like the dorms at College of Santa Fe.  Anyway, there were people partying in my apartment, which was apparently a regular nuisance, but when I complained to whoever was in charge, they didn't want to do anything about it.  So this woman suggested I go see this crime lord who lived in this underground...tunnel...place.  Because that's totally what you do.  Gotta love dream logic.

Of course, this made perfect sense to me in the dream, so I went down into the weird underground tunnel place and talked to the crime lord, but then talking to him was about him calling his goons off of someone.  Which he agreed to do.  But I still had to get back to work, except then I couldn't get out of the underground tunnels and ended up in this weird underground theme park with a glowing blue ceiling to mimic the sky.  And my ex-roommate and her husband were with me, though the woman from before was still talking to me through like a spy earpiece and was trying to help me figure out how to get out so I could go back to work.  And I was concerned about how I was going to explain being gone for so long.

The first exit we found was a one person elevator that was like a really high tech upright coffin or one of those pneumatic tube things like banks use, but for people.  I wasn't going to get in anything that claustrophobic, so the woman suggested I try the top of a Burger King that was supposed to have an exit to the outside world.  Which, of course, still seemed perfectly reasonable in the dream.  But when I got there, they only gave tours of the towers on the weekends.

I'd just found some kind of collapsible stair thingy (like those pull down stairs for attics in old houses) when I woke up going WTF!?

Underground amusement parks you can't escape?  Crime lords in tunnels?  People who randomly party in people's apartments?  WTF?

I don't even know where my brain got the ideas for most of that from. I think people were beaming TV into my brain while I slept again.  Or something.

Just had to share, though.

dreams, oddness, life
