Writer's Block: Teenagers & Car Accidents

Setting aside that (last I knew), depending on how you group drivers, the very oldest group is either just as bad or worse than teenagers...  I think it's a combination of three factors: teenagers are inexperienced drivers (as would anyone who had just learned to drive), driver's ed courses (when offered) are often not very good, and our culture ( Read more... )

Yes, all of this, thank you.

Parents also need to be reminded to model good driving habits to their teens and keep an eye on speeding and what it is they do behind the wheel.

Indeed. Even the Allstate thing mentions that 89% of teens say their parents are their biggest driving influence. Which is great if the parent(s) is/are good drivers, but terrible if they're not.
