Books, exercise, clothes, and other assorted stuff

Partners in Crime, Agatha Christie's collection of Tommy and Tuppence short stories references a number of (now) obscure mystery authors/books and I thought it might be fun to try some of them, if I could find them.  I've managed to get ahold of A Clue in the Air by Isabel Ostrander and Courier to Marrakesh by Valentine Williams.  Interestingly, ( Read more... )

They seem more designed for ppl to show off their bodies or to wear out rather than working out in.

Well, of course. Why would someone be working out if not so they look good to other people? Grrr. Stupid clothing manufacturers.

I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart because they have a history of treating their employees terribly, but I've been desperate enough over clothes to shop there before. They do seem to be one of the few places that aren't entirely consumed by the need to be trendy. *sigh*

I'd forgotten about athletic stores (I tend to overlook specialty clothing places. I'm not sure why), so that's definitely worth a look.

Having one's personal style not match what's trendy is such a pain.

I've had ok luck getting ordinary sweat pants at K-mart.

Hmm...there's one not too far from where I live, maybe I'll trudge over (weather permiting) and have a look. *sigh* Who'd have thought plain, ordinary sweat pants would be a pain to find?
