so her fingers may or may not be shaking a little as she types. it's one thing when you're typing on a machine without expecting a response from a human. it's another to actually get a response.]

[MEANWHILE broadcasting live on Chell's lap, her Aron merely nods, blinking slowly in acknowledgement.]

[The little Aron appears to be jumping for joy at being acknowldged.]

[D'aaaawww, don't be like that, Turret. Hephaestus is chirping away trying to have a conversation with you.]

she chews on the bottom of her lips, and she shakes her head again. this time, no text. her headshake should say enough.
Meanwhile, Turret gives Hephaustus one simple chirp because clearly this Pokemon is about as talkative as her trainer.]

[Hephaestus pulls a big eyed sad face and opens it's mouth to wail, which turns into screeching Metal Sound, causing Artemis to flinch and look at his Pokémon in irritation.]

[and she finishes typing that as soon as Artemis's Aron uses Metal Sound, and she jumps in her seat a little, eyes wide at the camera.
she...didn't know they could do that. Turret, on the otherhand, looks annoyed and shakes her head back and forth a little. it might not have an effect over the 'Gear, but she still can't help but feel a little off.]

[Hephaestus give a happy croon at all the attention before being swatted on the back of the head with a paw by an annoyed looking Eevee.]
It seems you don't quite know yet the power these creatures possess.

I see. Well, to give you a perspective; the one you currently hold in your arms is easily capable of demolishing a heavy dump truck with a simple charge.
[Hephaestus give a proud call.]

...she nudges it a little. she wouldn't want to be demolished, thank you very much. Turret, on the other hand, makes a slight clicking, huffy sound and it only shifts to get more comfortable in her lap, completely ignoring the Aron on the other side of this video "chat" now]

[He moves about on the screen for a moment, bending to pick up something near his feet. As he straightens, a healthy Quilava rests in his arms. It yawns and makes the flames on it's head and rear ingnite, though they seem to be having no ill effect on Artemis despite their close proximity.]
They can prove very useful. These creatures are the main focus of this world and inhabit all of its areas.
[As Hephaestus tries to make his way back into shot, Apollo the Quilava lets out some steam from his nose irritably before shooting a small lick of a flame at the Aron to shoo it away.]

she pulls back from the video a little. okay. now she definitely has some questions.]
Were they made by scientists?
[maybe she didn't leave the facility at all. maybe this was some other kind of test. clearly that could be the only explanation for animals with "powers". they aren't powers at all, but scientific enhancements or...whatever.]

There are indeed certain ones which were made by the interference of humans or simply by those trying to understand them, among other things, but they are few and far between.
These creatures take the place of what we would call 'animals' within this world. Of course, with them being so powerful they take on a much heavier role here.
[Apollo gives an agreeing call from his arms while Diana just rests on his shoulder, ignoring the conversation.]
