Quick update

I think the tomato seedlings at home are going to take over the world. Seriously. They're like a foot high already, and I've had to move the lamp up in creative ways to keep (any more) leaves from touching the tubes and being burnt to crispy edges. Poor things. They're really cool to watch grow though. I mean, honestly. I've never seen anything grow that fast. Wow.

Not much else to report. The Snow White and Garden Peach tomato seeds at my desk here at work haven't germinated, so I may dump them and try again. Possibly at home, but I'm really running out of room there.

What else. Payday is in two days, so I hope to get a rake, a spade, and soil amendments and get out into my p-patch after work. I have a pair of jeans that I absolutely loathe, so I'm going to wear those to grub around in the mud. Dutee gave me a pair of ridiculous yet possibly highly effective muck books to clomp around in, though I haven't yet tried them on. Rubber footware isn't really my thing, but it make sense when dealing with, well. Compost and animal manures.

I must also stop by this hydroponic growing supply store to pick up some organic liquid fertilizer for all the seedlings. They're beginning to look Not Very Happy with me, and I'd rather risk being followed and tagged as a pot grower to use the not-smelly liquid than deal with the fish or kelp extracts. Not in my small apartment, and I'd probably be lynched here at work if I were to use them here. Ewww! So here's to hoping the stuff I want to buy doesn't stink too badly. And here's to happy and hopefully well fed plants!

More later. When I've actually gotten used to grubbing around in the dirt. Whee!
