Apparently England is getting pretty bad snow, and some of that has drifted over to this part of the country. Back home in the north west there are only flurries, but there has been a lot of snow here over the past two days. I can only hope my train home on Friday doesn't get cancelled :( Anyway, the snow is pretty...but cold. Even with two heaters on in my room yesterday afternoon I ended up huddled on the floor beside the radiator with a dressing gown wrapped around me. Ah, the life of a student...and then there's the hunger and the lack of cats. LOL, sorry, I don't mean to sound so mopey!

We've started new modules in our English course, and so far they are a LOT better than last year. One is Fiction, for which we're reading Pride and Prejudice (yay!) (but will be reading Great Expectations later...boo) and another is Drama. We have three lecturers for that and they are all funny and charismatic. For our smaller English course we're doing Irish Colonial Literature...or something...it's kind of boring. I'm really looking forward to Creative Writing, but that lecture was cancelled this morning, meaning I got a nice lie-in. Although the minute I woke up my phone rang; it was Sinead K and Sarah wanting to come round, so this morning was spent lying on my bed reading Empire while the two of them stalked various people on Bebo using my laptop.

snow, college, friends
