Merry Christmas! I'm late with that, but oh well. My head has become saturated by too much TV. Christmas Eve, my father arrived at six, whereupon we began with the Simpsons and moved onto Toy Story 2. There was then a brief interlude while I iced the shortbread biscuits, after which it was time for the My Family Christmas special and the Father Ted Christmas special. Then I was dizzy.
Then Christmas!!! Santa was indeed good to me: I got the entire box set of Stargate SG-1!!! I couldn't believe it. This was apparently at the suggestion of my brother Sean. Thanks, Sean! I got the usual various pretty things as well: polka-dot wellies, a gorgeous scarf, a rainbow photo frame, a hippy-bus moneybox...and plenty of books, of course. Funny, the rest of my family got me books as well: Brendan got me an Obama book, Sean got me a Heath Ledger biography (because he'd seen me flicking through it in the shop; but he was a little misguided in this gift because I'd been being incredulous that anyone would try to cash in on Ledger's death like this. Oh well, he got me a huge box of Special Toffee as well XD) and Daddy got me The Folklore of Discworld and the biography of Charles Schulz (YAY!!)
We had duck for Christmas dinner and lemon meringue for dessert; then we watched the Doctor Who Christmas special (which was definitely better than the Kylie Minogue trainwreck of last year, but nothing, well, special), the new Wallace and Gromit, and King Kong in all of its three-hour entireity. It's a good film. A BRILLIANT film. I've long since realised that it's good qualities are far outweighed by it's flaws. And Colin Hanks! <3
Having another lazy day today :D
