I'm now back home until the exams. Even though my lectures finished last week, I was up and down to college for various things - I stayed up on Tuesday night because there was a bit of a hoolie for Liam, Conor and Marie's birthdays. A crowd of us had dinner at the pub, and then it was back to Bryan's for champagne and Bailey's (the Bailey's smelt like petrol, by the way, but it was quite nice). Then on Friday morning I got the train up to college again so I could hand in an assignment, and got the train home two hours later. Which was tiring and a bit of a pain but goodness, the train is so handy! I'd be lost without it.

It was so sad saying goodbye to everyone, especially the people who were only here for one semester - like my American housemate Megan and Bryan's American housemate Ashlee. I'll definitely miss Ashlee a lot, she was great fun - we all poked fun at her accent and slang, while she wound us all up by saying that America is the greatest country, and all that guff. LOL. Good times!

Anyway it's good to be home for a while - well, a good while, till February! - and it's not like I'm not going to see ANY of my college friends till then, since a few are from this part of the country and I think I'm going to the cinema tomorrow with Liam and Bryan, and possibly Mark and Mary as well. Yay Twilight! It's getting good reviews and from the trailers, I think it's managed to capture the atmosphere of the book, which was actually brilliant. Let us not speak of the sequels.

I have come down with my pre-Christmas cold, as per usual. It's like a freak of nature that every single year, without fail, I get a cold a few days before Christmas. Blegh. Oh well, at least I was expecting it. I was supposed to be catching up on all the books I was supposed to have read this year - Rousseau, Darwin, Burke, Freud etc. - and I have got a bit of Rousseau read, but I felt too sick today to do anything much. I've started the whole lying-on-the-sofa-eating-chocolate-and-watching-crap-TV routine a few days early, but no harm. Let's see...Starsky and Hutch is on at nine...last week's Desperate Housewives, which I missed, is on at ten...or I could always break out the Grease DVD. Ah, Christmas!

tv, twilight, friends, sicky, films, christmas
