Wow, I've become so bad with updating! Um...what went on this week? Well, I had the Irish music session on Wednesday as usual. Yoann, the uillean piper (Yoann is a weird name...and I used to think his name was Patrick!!) asked me to bring his friend Andy along to the session, because he's blind, and I live right beside him. Andy is lovely and he said I was good at guiding him, even if I did walk him into a bar stool while we were going up to get drinks. We're going to have a few tunes together next week, hopefully.
Also, my housemate Tanya and I have suddenly become friends. I don't really see any of my housemates that much, but last night Tanya and I just got talking and ended up wondering how we'd left it so long to become friends.
YAY FOR FRIENDS.
Now the sad news... Martha, Bryan's housemate Therese and I were on the train home this morning, and Liam phoned me yelling, 'The canteen is on fire! The canteen is on fire!' 'Twas the university canteen, thankfully seperate from other buildings (apart from the sports hall, but which is apparently not too damaged). But still...the canteen!!! I was only there yesterday morning getting cornflakes! I have such a clear image in my head of the canteen, and good memories, and I just can't believe that nothing is left. Because it is GUTTED. There was a gas explosion or something. Thankfully no one was hurt...I mean, the last time I saw Liam, Bryan and Hepsy this morning was them heading off for the canteen!
And this happened on the Open Day 2008. How unlucky can you get?
