(no subject)
I've been in Belfast for the past few days. On Monday, Granny, her dog Toby and I went to the forest park for a walk. She walks three and a half miles there every day. Amazing. I have a little half-mile doddle to the farm each day and that's it. My GRANDMOTHER is more fit than me!
Tuesday, Mammy and I went to see my great-grandmother. She complained a lot, smoked, studied my Debs pictures and said that she hadn't imagined I could scrub up so well, and then called me an oddity.
Then we went shopping. Got lovely teal leather heels in River Island. At last, a proper pair of shoes! Also went to Urban Outfitters, the most amazing shop ever, but all I could afford was a scarf. *wistful sigh*
Of course, what I really wanted was Breaking Dawn but it was sold out in Waterstone's, W H Smith's AND Eason's! Grrr! But my mother went back into town yesterday morning and Waterstone's had it in. Yay. It will probably take me three months to read it.
Had my driver theory test today. It was held in a van with computers in it. There were two other people taking it besides me. I had to pass 35 questions out of 40 to pass and I got 33 D: That means no learner's permit. No driving. Guess I'll just have to retake the test.
Stupid test. The questions were way too hard and stupid. How the feck am I supposed to know how to disconnect a trailer from a car???
