In Biology Sinead came up to me, held out her hand and said formally, 'Let's forget that silly brawl we had yesterday.'

'Doesn't a brawl involve punching?' I said.

We shook hands.

'Friends,' said Sinead. 'For now.'

'Until next time,' I said.

And then everything was fine. Just as well. We did have to sit for a double Biology class together and go home together.

Mrs C was looking for songs to play at the Leaving Cert Mass. A few people had songs they would like to have played. I brought in one by the Wailin' Jennies (a band my mother likes). We must have played more than twenty songs over the past few Religion class; today we voted and my song got the majority of votes. Well, eight votes, which about makes up the number of girls in my year, and it was the girls who liked my song most. A vote also came from Eoin, who squeaked, 'I vote for that one because if I don't they'll all kill me.' (He was sitting in the midst of the girls.)

I also got roped into playing a bit on the concertina during the Mass. It still astounds me that a lot of people don't know what a concertina IS.

For example:

Claire: A concertina...that's kind of like a mini-accordian, isn't it?

Me: No.

Claire: But...it looks and sounds like an accordian?

Me: No.

Claire: But it sounds like an accordian.

Well, they do sound similar, but there's a distinct difference. I guess it wouldn't be clear to someone who doesn't play or listen to either.

Everyone was trying to persuade Cian to accompany me on the uillean pipes. He said maybe, but he probably won't.

Optician appointment tomorrow. Everything has been a bit blurry lately and it's giving me a sore head.

I recorded Doc Hollywood the other night! With only eight channels, MJF movies are far and few between. Gotta grab 'em when I can.

To do: Watch the Indiana Jones trilogy. *shame* Nope, never seen them. Didn't watch when my father and brothers were watching the movies. But with all the hype surrounding the new film, I'm intrigued.
